Syed Khalid

Research Engineer

Syed Khalid is the Beamline Scientist at the beamline 2-2 at Stanford Synchrotron Research Laboratory at SLAC at Stanford University. He is training the NSLS general users, battery users and some catalyst users for this beamline during the dark period when the NSLS was shutdown (Sep 2014) and NSLS-II XAS lines will start operating (2017-18). He is also co-spokesman of the NSLS-II beamline QAS. He is part of the Research Equipment Pool and Research Operation Support staff, and Cognizant Space Manager of three labs at NSLS-II, 3LL02, 06 and chemistry lab 3LL09. He is also setting up a new battery laboratory in NSLS-II.
He is also involved in catalysis research in collaboration with many US and international institutes.
