Yoshiteru Hidaka

Research Associate

Dr. Yoshiteru Hidaka joined the NSLS SDL group, his research will be high-brightness electron beam and its applications, and particularly in the ultrafast electron diffraction (UED). Dr Hidaka received the B. S. E., M. S. E., and Ph. D. degrees from Dept. of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan, in 2002, 2005, and 2005, respectively. He was a postdoctoral associate at Waves and Beams Division of MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center in Cambridge, MA, from 2006 to 2008. The research there included the efficiency study of a MW-class, W-band, pulsed gyrotron oscillator and the study of high-pressure gas breakdown using the microwave beam from the gyrotron.
